EC3 Board of Directors Needs Applicants!

As a parent co-op, EC3’s nonprofit status depends on its constituent families to participate in all aspects of the organization’s life. This includes volunteering time and talents to serve on the Board of Directors. EC3 Board members generally attend two meetings per month: the Board meeting and one committee meeting. (Child care is provided, of course.) There is also official business conducted via e-mail, and Board members are expected to participate in any events put on at EC3. Most importantly, EC3 Board members serve as “ambassadors” both within our own walls and outside, in the community, helping others understand the benefit and importance of early learning.

There are currently two vacancies on EC3’s Board, and several more will open up in the fall. Potential applicants are invited to attend a Board meeting in order to ask questions and learn more about this fulfilling, two-year leadership opportunity. If you would like to contribute to EC3 in this way, please come to the meeting next Tuesday, May 19th, at 6:15 p.m. and see whether it’s a good fit for you! R.S.V.P. to Lis Weston (eweston@ec3kids.org) so we can have materials ready.

Expecting? Let us know!

EC3’s infant program is full through May of 2016! If you are expecting a little one (or know someone who is) and need care, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reserve a spot.

Summer Enrollment Changes

If you are planning on changing your child’s enrollment for the summer, now is the time to let the office know. A two week written notice or e-mail message is required for withdrawal and/or changes in schedule.

Picture Days: May 19th and May 20th

Lifetouch Spring picture days are coming to EC3 next week! On Tuesday, May 19th, the Bees, Ladybugs, Dolphins, Seals, Penguins, and Geckos will have their pictures taken. On Wednesday, May 20th the Frogs, Tigers, Bluegills and Bears will have their pictures taken. Part-time students will have pictures taken on whichever day they attend. Picture-taking sessions will take place both days from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Forms have been placed in the cubbies, but they need only be returned if parents have special preferences for background color or pictures with siblings. Parents are under no obligation to purchase the pictures when they are delivered to EC3 in a few weeks.
